Kid’s Summer Reading

Mr. Brian with a "Build A Better World" Summer Reading Bag
Print Friendly

Summer Reading Club theme for 2017 is “Build a Better World.”

Children from Birth – 6th Grade are invited to join.  The Summer Reading Club is a fun way to include reading and related activities in summer family time.  It helps children maintain and improve reading skills, and keeps their minds active.  Readers enter school in the fall ready to learn, read, and succeed!

Click here now for Summer Reading registration or you may do so in-person at the library.  Registration is on-going, so it’s NOT TOO LATE!  🙂

Starting Monday, June 26 – Prizes will be awarded to the children that have read at least one book for that week.

Will your school win the Emma Cup??? For the 3rd year, we’re hosting a friendly competition between the local elementary schools.  The school that has the highest percentage of children that sign up AND finish the Summer Reading Club will have their School and Year inscribed on the trophy.  Minnesauke Elementary has won the past 2 years!
Which school will win it this year?  Will Minnesauke win again, or will one of the other 4 schools dethrone them?

How Would You Build a Better World? We want to know how Three Village Kids are making a difference in their lives or the lives of others in the community.  Let us know this summer on our BIG BOARD in the Children’s Department!
