Concerts at Emma Clark
We’re hosting two Sunday concerts in May and June that you won’t want to miss – one featuring chamber music in our historic 1892 library and the other is jazz in celebration of Miles Davis’ 100th Birthday!
Ellen Bogolub Memorial Chamber Music Concert Series with Long Island Chamber Music
Sunday, May 17, 2026, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the 1892 Historic Periodical Room
Join us for an afternoon of Beethoven and more, performed by a string quartet from Long Island Chamber Music in the original 1892 library. LICM is a classical music non-profit organization consisting of twenty professional musicians from prominent institutions such as Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect and the New York Philharmonic. Miles Davis at 100: A Birthday Celebration with Wayne Tucker
Sunday, June 14, 2026, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
American jazz legend Miles Davis would have turned 100 on May 26th. Join us to celebrate his life and legacy with Grammy-nominated trumpet player and vocalist Wayne Tucker and his band. Concert on the Library Lawn – Paige Patterson
Friday, July 10 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Distinguished local singer Paige Patterson brings us her immersive show, “Pure Joy with Paige Patterson: Musical Therapy for the Soul.” Backed by her live band, she’ll sing an eclectic mix of standards, from Sinatra to Santana, the Harlem Renaissance to Classic Soul, Broadway to foreign languages. Reviving memories of a bygone era, this concert will restore your faith in the timeless power of music!
This concert is open to the public, and there is no registration. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Painting Demonstration on the Library Lawn
Sunday, July 12 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Local artist Doug Reina will paint en plein air on the Library Lawn. You are invited to watch him at work and ask your questions. Doug Reina is a two-time Pollock-Krasner grant recipient whose studio is in Setauket. No registration necessary; drop-ins welcome. You are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
Goat Yoga on the Library Lawn (Open to Adults, Teens/Tweens, and Children in Grades K – 5)
Friday, July 24, multiple times from 2:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Join us on the Library Lawn for Goat Yoga, featuring baby goats from LI Pony Parties and Petting Zoo and an instructor from Satya Yoga & Pilates. Be ready to stretch, pose, and become climbing challenges for the goats! Bring a yoga mat or a towel, a water bottle, and wear clothes you are willing to interact with goats in.
Registration and important information: Animal attendants and Library Staff will be on hand to supervise Goat Yoga. Adults and Teens & Tweens entering Grades 6-12 may attend independently; Children entering Grades K – 5 must attend with a supervising adult (supervising adult may participate and does not need to register). All attendees must complete a waiver before participating in Goat Yoga. Waiver will be emailed to all participants.

Concert: Pure Joy with Paige Patterson
Friday, July 8 at 6:30 p.m.
Join Paige in a musical odyssey which includes classic soul, contemporary, and international songs. Her goal is to revive one’s memory of a bygone era, and to restore one’s faith in the power of the music. Relax to songs of Sinatra, Nancy Wilson, Carole King, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Michael Bublé, and more.
Long Island Poets’ Reading
Wednesday, July 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Long Island poets will be reading their poems published in the poetry anthology, Paumanok—Transition (2022). Anyone is invited to read a poem from the anthology. Rain date Thursday, July 14.
Concert: CB Jacobs and the Say Hey Crew
Friday, August 12 at 6:30 p.m.
This Jazz, Blues and Americana ensemble is looking to lift, move and welcome you into a warm and feeling embrace. CB, whom many know as Claudia Jacobs, will be joined by old friends and musical collaborators Mark Coffey, Dan Weymouth, Kevin Twigg and perhaps a secret guest or two.
For all of these events, bring a blanket or lawn chair or even pack a picnic! No registration required. All are welcome.
