Drop-In Events & Activities for Kids

These events and activities don’t require pre-registration, but they do guarantee lots of fun! Save these dates:

Crafternoon

Thursday, June 25, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. (School Half Day)
Get creative with upcycled materials to make your very own work of art. Ages 3 – 11 years old with parent/caregiver.


Summer Reading Kick-Off

Monday, June 29, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Join us for carnival fun. We’ll have face painting, carnival games, music & more. For families with children up to grade 5.


Star-Spangled Celebration

Wednesday, July 1, 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday by creating your own accessories to top off your red, white, and blue attire for this extra special 4th of July. While supplies last. For families with children ages 3 – 11 years old.


Meet the Farm Animals

Tuesday, July 7, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Explore the care, unique traits, and uses of various farm animals, brought to you by Cornell Cooperative Extension. Featured animals include goats, chickens, ducks, and a rabbit. In the event of inclement weather, please call the Children’s Department at (631) 941-4080 ext. 123.  For families with children ages 3 – 11 years old.


The History of Balloons

Friday, July 17, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Bring the whole family down to see the award-winning Nick the Balloonatic and his hilarious, interactive balloon show. For families with children ages 3 – 11 years old.


Magic of Amore

Friday, July 31, 6:00 – 6:45 p.m.
Prepare to be amazed by this award-winning magic show, packed with illusions, music, and comedy. For families with children ages 3 – 11 years old.


Crafternoon

Tuesday, August 25, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Make a masterpiece out of recycled materials. Ages 3 – 11 years old with parent/caregiver.
