Library Drives This Holiday Season
Pop-Up Food & Toiletries Drive
Food pantries are being used significantly more and are in need of extra supplies. We’re hosting a Pop-Up Food and Toiletries drive to bring emergency relief to those who are food insecure now through January 4. New items only, please.
Suggestions for food items: cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, rice, beans, tuna fish, juice, gum, snacks (pretzels, granola bars, trail mix, cookies), pasta, & pasta sauce.
Suggestions for personal hygiene supplies: toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, shampoo, razors, shaving cream, feminine hygiene products, baby wipes, & diapers.
Pajamas for Those in Need
We’re hosting a drive for local charities, collecting new pajamas for all ages from November 1 – 30. Pajamas must be new (with tags). All sizes are welcome.
Give Warmth
We’re collecting new or handmade mittens, scarves, hats, gloves, or socks for local charities in our community from December 1 – January 18. All sizes are welcome.
Bins are located in the Library lobby. Anyone (resident or nonresident) is welcome to donate during Library hours.
We are closed on Veterans Day (Tuesday, November 11), Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27), Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25), and New Year’s Day (Thursday, January 1).
We will close early at 3:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday, November 26); Sunday, December 14 (in order to accommodate the Electric Holiday Parade, which will assemble in front of the library); Christmas Eve (Wednesday, December 24), and New Year’s Eve (Wednesday, December 30).
