Kids Community Service
Upcoming Community Service programs for children:
Volunteer at Hobbs Farm (Bethel Hobbs Farm, Centereach) for Community Service (Grades 3 – 5)
Tuesday, November 4, 3:00–5:00 p.m. (School Closed)
Kids will help with various farm tasks such as weeding beds, planting seeds, and picking produce. Dress for a mess and for the weather! Participants will earn two hours of community service credit. Please note this program is offsite and parents/caregivers (over the age of 18) must stay with their child at the farm. Click here to register now.
Watercolor Bookmarks for Seniors (Grades 3 – 5)
Wednesday, November 5, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Join us to paint beautiful, fall-inspired watercolor bookmarks for our “Senior Bus” patrons. Participants will earn one hour of community service credit. Click here to register now.
Holiday Cards for Seniors (Grades 3 – 5)
Wednesday, November 19, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Spread some holiday cheer with handmade cards! Help brighten a senior’s day by creating festive, heartwarming holiday cards for the Nursing Home Card Project. Participants will earn one hour of community service credit. Click here to register starting 11/5.
Cards for Hospitalized Kids (Grades 3 – 5)
Wednesday, December 3, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Help brighten a child’s day! Join us to make uplifting cards for hospitalized kids. Participants will earn one hour of community service credit. Click here to register starting 11/19.
Winter Scarf (Grades 3 – 5)
Wednesday, December 10, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Give the gift of warmth this holiday season! Join us to make a fleece winter scarf and gift tags to donate to our “Give Warmth” Drive. Participants will earn one hour of community service credit. Click here to register starting 11/26.
