In collaboration with Suffolk Library System, we participate in the NexTrex Community Recycling Challenge. This is an ongoing, recycling collection here at Emma Clark. Simply deposit your plastic film (e.g. plastic bags, bread bags, etc.) in the bin located in the Library’s vestibule.

We reached our goal in 2025! Our community collected and recycled way more than 1,000+ pounds — 2,092 pounds total. The Library has received a free bench made from these materials.

We’re starting a new challenge in March 2026!

And don’t forget, the NexTrex Community Recycling Challenge is ongoing here at Emma Clark. We collect and recycle your plastic film all year round!
