Help Us Recycle

About the NexTrex Recycling Challenge:

In collaboration with Suffolk Library System, we participate in the NexTrex Community Recycling Challenge. This is an ongoing, recycling collection here at Emma Clark. Simply deposit your plastic film (e.g. plastic bags, bread bags, etc.) in the bin located in the Library’s vestibule.

Update:

We’ve received our bench! The Three Village community collected and recycled way more than 1,000 pounds — 2,092 pounds total in 2025! This means we earned a free bench made from those recycled materials.

You’ve helped others as well…since we could only earn 1 bench per year through the challenge, we distributed the extra recycling to help other Suffolk County libraries earn their benches in 2025. Way to go!

We’re starting a new challenge in March 2026.

And don’t forget, the NexTrex Community Recycling Challenge is ongoing here at Emma Clark. We collect and recycle your plastic film all year round!
