Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with these programs honoring the vibrant cultures and lasting contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities:

Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera
Monday, October 6, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
As two of Mexico’s most iconic and revolutionary artists, Kahlo and Rivera helped define an era. Artist and professor Chris Vivas will discuss Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera’s tumultuous history together, along with their murals, Mexican identity, and political ideals. He’ll also explore the social change that stemmed from their artistic achievements. Click here to register starting 9/8.

Dance the Cha-Cha!
Friday, October 10, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Learn to dance the cha-cha with professional dancer and instructor Michelle Vicale. Cha-cha originated in Cuba in the 1940s with its playful rhythm. It incorporates music and dance from the mambo and rumba. Cha-cha made its way to the United States in the 1950s. It is now a very popular social and competitive dance.
